It seems like our lives are centered around Kayleigh right now. Saturday night was her 10th birthday party. We went with a "spa" theme and the girls had a blast. It wasn't the relaxing quiet atmosphere I had hoped to create, but the girls sure had lots of fun. We started out with spa-like foods...fruit ka-bobs, chocolate-dipped strawberries and marshmellows and English muffin pizzas. They had ice water flavored with oranges and Keith made Bahama Mama and chocolate smoothies for them. Then they had facials, manicures and foot massages. When everyone was finished being pampered they settled down and watched a movie.
Keith and I got her the American Girl doll that she's been wanting and it was a HUGE hit...with everyone!!! Kayleigh renewed the girls' interest in the AG dolls and they were out in the cul-de-sac yesterday afternoon playing with their dolls.
Well, I was going to write more about the field trip I went on with Kayleigh today but this post is picture-heavy so I won't bore you all at once.
Wednesday is Kayleigh's official 10th birthday. We are off school tomorrow for Veteran's Day so we're taking her out for a birthday breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Yum!
